is a part of the Catholic Mass designed to help young children understand and engage with the Word of God at their own level.
The purpose is :
To help children grow in faith and understand the Word of God in a way that makes sense to them.
To prepare them gradually for full participation in the whole Mass as they mature.
The Children’s Liturgy for those children who have not yet made their First Communion at the 11.00 Mass will start the first Sunday of Advent.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) is a lay organization which was established in 1833 by a young Frenchman, Frederick Ozanam, to look after the poor, the lonely and the destitute in his native Paris. Since then, SVP branches, or 'Conferences' as they are called, are to be found throughout the world carrying on this work by serving vulnerable members within their communities.
Members of the Towcester conference visit the housebound, the sick and those in need and organize simple parish activities such as a pub lunch and coffee after Mass. Our meetings are held roughly every month at 6pm in the Lombard Room, and they normally last an hour. The dates are published in the church newsletter.
Do you know someone who is housebound and would like one of our members to visit them? Could you help us by sparing an hour a week to visit someone? Or perhaps you would like to know more about the work of the SVP? If so, contact our parish priest, Fr James, and he will arrange for a member of the SVP to get in touch with you. Alternatively, speak to any member of the SVP at coffee after Sunday Mass.

Helping our church community means living your faith in service — using what you have and who you are to make the parish a place where everyone can encounter God’s love
Here are some of the main ways people help:
Attending Mass faithfully and praying for others.
Joining ministries like readers, altar servers, musicians, or Eucharistic ministers.
Leading or joining prayer groups, rosaries, or adoration.
Welcoming newcomers and helping everyone feel included.
Serving refreshments after Mass or helping with parish events.
Visiting the sick, elderly, or lonely members of the community.
Helping with Children’s Liturgy, First Communion or Confirmation classes.
Supporting adult faith formation or Bible study.
Sharing your gifts of teaching, mentoring, or encouragement.
Taking part in charity collections, food banks, or fundraisers for those in need.
Supporting CAFOD, SVP (St Vincent de Paul Society), or local causes.
Reaching out to the wider community to show God’s love through action.
Helping with cleaning, gardening, maintenance, or administration.
Joining the parish council or helping organise events.
Giving financial support if you’re able, to keep the parish running.

Receiving help from a priest, deacon, religious sister/brother to grow closer to God, understand your faith, and discern what God is calling you to do in your life.
It’s about your relationship with God, not about rules or punishment — it’s guidance for your soul and your spiritual journey.
Please take contact with your priest to talk about the prayer life, worries, or decisions, reflect on how God is present in their daily life, ask for guidance on faith, vocation, or moral questions, seek help in deepening trust, forgiveness, or peace in their heart.

Volunteers needed to prepare, serve and tidy. Please, speaks with Chris Ash and sign the list on the board at the entrance of the church
